  Secret Garden, winner of three Tony Awards, is based on the enchantin
 g novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, who was living in the Knoxville ar
 ea when she wrote it.  The story centers on Mary Lennox, a young girl
  orphaned in India and sent to Yorkshire, England, to live with her re
 clusive uncle and his invalid son. Mary is angry and obstinate but whe
 n she encounters a neglected garden and its secrets gradually come to 
 light, both Mary and the garden begin to bloom. With music by Lucy Sim
 on, and book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Marsha N
 orman, The Secret Garden is a treasure for the whole family. Children 
 and adults alike will be impacted by its themes of redemption, forgive
 ness, love and learning.\nThe WordPlayers brings together a team of hi
 ghly qualified artists, many of whom were featured in the company’s 
 2012 production of Ragtime, including Director Leann Dickson, Music Di
 rector Jill Lagerberg, and leading actors Natalee McReynolds, Sheryl H
